Mega Statues of Ancient Egypt: Advanced Technology | Sept. 14, 2026

Source: Universe Inside You youtube

Description:
Ancient Egypt’s colossal statues, from the shattered colossus of Ramesses the Second at the Ramesseum to the enormous fragments at Tanis, Karnak, and the Colossi of Memnon. These monuments were carved from granite, quartzite, and other extremely hard stones, with some estimated to weigh more than 1,000 tons and be transported across vast distances.

We examine the engineering challenges, geometric precision, colossal hand and foot fragments, and the controversial theory that some of these monuments may have been inherited and later re-inscribed by dynastic rulers. Could ancient builders really have achieved this with sledges, bronze tools, and manpower alone, or do these statues preserve evidence of a lost technology from Egypt’s distant past?
