An analyst says the United States and its allies in the region are to blame for having helped militants in Syria to launch the deadly chemical attack on civilians in August. Michel Chossudovsky told Press TV in an interview on Friday that the US-led "military alliance" backed "the rebels in using chemical weapons" in Syria.
"The United States and its allies continue to support the al-Qaeda-affiliated rebels which are involved in the process of destruction of an entire country (Syria)," he stated.
Chossudovsky noted that "Israeli sponsored rebels" backed by "Qatar, Turkey, [and] Saudi Arabia" staged the chemical attack and "then blamed it on the [Syrian] government."
"And we know unequivocally that that event which used fake videos of children killed was there; it was a false flag and its objective was to blame the Syrian government when in fact those crimes were committed and ordered by the United States and its allies," said Chossudovsky.
He said the militants fighting against the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad "are the foot soldiers of the Western military alliance."
Chossudovsky also expressed regret that the international community has not taken any action to stop "a humanitarian crisis" which is unfolding in Syria.
"A country has been destroyed; there is an outbreak of polio, at least it is reported, and then the question is who is responsible for this hideous crime against the Syrian people and the entire nation. It is what I call the self-proclaimed international community," he said.
Chossudovsky described the international community as a "rogue conjunction of warmongering states... responsible for extensive war crimes against the people of Syria."

The Leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution says the United States has lost its political and military power and turned into a country grappling with its biggest economic and financial problems. He was addressing a group of school and university students on the occasion of Student Day in Iran.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said the U-S is suffering from political problems and divisions which led to the recent shutdown of the federal government. The leader noted that Iran's current economic hardships pale in comparison with those of the US administration. He said US officials made projections some 11 years ago about having 14-thousand billion dollars in extra revenues by 2011 or 2012, and that now, in practice, they are suffering from a huge 17-thousand billion dollar deficit. He added that this alone shows America's true economic situation and the inaccuracy of their official calculations.
Ayatollah Khamenei also made mention of deep divisions among Washington's allies, saying that the U-S has failed to convince even its closest partners like France or Britain to back its decision on launching a strike against Syria.

Synopsis
Greg Caton was a victim of “Operation Cure.All,” an initiative begun in 2001 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Federal Trade Commission. A press release on the FTC’s web site says, “FTC, FDA and other law enforcement agencies move to stop Internet scams for supplements and other products that purport to cure cancer, HIV/AIDS and countless other life-threatening diseases.” Unfortunately, the FDA has used this as an excuse to shut down businesses and arrest people whose products, though not recognized by conventional medicine, actually work — and are inexpensive and have few, if any, side effects. At the time of the raid, Greg Caton, an herbalist and inventor, was founder and president of three companies. One, Lumen Foods, made soyfood products. Another, Preservx, made a food preservative Caton invented and patented that can be used in much smaller quantities than other preservatives. The third, Alpha Omega Labs, sold what the FDA and conventional medicine call “unproven” remedies for cancer and other health problems.
Bio
I have worked extensively in "designer foods," as well as alternative medicine and nutrition products since 1981. I graduated from L.A. Valley College ('75); am a U.S. Navy veteran ('75-'78), and the author of four books, Lumen: Food for a New Age (1986, an interdisciplinary work on vegetarianism and the role of meat analogs, with over 45,000 copies in print); MLM Fraud (1991, on corruption in the multi-level marketing industry and the tools to identify the work of its perpetrators -- since banned in the U.S.); Meditopia® (2004-2012: an ongoing project and free online read); and The Gospel of 2012 According to Ayahuasca (another free online read).
In 1984 I founded Consumer Express, which later became Nutrition for Life International (briefly traded on the NASDAQ stock exchange as "NFLI"). Later I founded Lumen Foods (1986), and its internet site (soybean.com, 1995), which currently manufacturers the best-selling vegetarian "meat" snack on the North American continent, Stonewall's Jerquee. My family successfully ran the company from its inception until its sale in March, 2007. I invented a food-grade preservative in 2003 and built a manufacturing plant in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to produce and commercialize the discovery. This facility currently operates as Global Preservatives, Inc. (globalpreservatives.com), the assignee of my primary U.S. Patent Application No. 10782405) representing this area of my work (see also). A press release on the FTC’s web site says, “FTC, FDA and other law enforcement agencies move to stop Internet scams for supplements and other products that purport to cure cancer, HIV/AIDS and countless other life-threatening diseases.” Unfortunately, the FDA has used this as an excuse to shut down businesses and arrest people whose products, though not recognized by conventional medicine, actually work — and are inexpensive and have few, if any, side effects. At the time of the raid, Greg Caton, an herbalist and inventor, was founder and president of three companies. One, Lumen Foods, made soyfood products. Another, Preservx, made a food preservative Caton invented and patented that can be used in much smaller quantities than other preservatives. The third, Alpha Omega Labs, sold what the FDA and conventional medicine call “unproven” remedies for cancer and other health problems.
Bio
I have worked extensively in "designer foods," as well as alternative medicine and nutrition products since 1981. I graduated from L.A. Valley College ('75); am a U.S. Navy veteran ('75-'78), and the author of four books, Lumen: Food for a New Age (1986, an interdisciplinary work on vegetarianism and the role of meat analogs, with over 45,000 copies in print); MLM Fraud (1991, on corruption in the multi-level marketing industry and the tools to identify the work of its perpetrators -- since banned in the U.S.); Meditopia® (2004-2012: an ongoing project and free online read); and The Gospel of 2012 According to Ayahuasca (another free online read).
In 1984 I founded Consumer Express, which later became Nutrition for Life International (briefly traded on the NASDAQ stock exchange as "NFLI"). Later I founded Lumen Foods (1986), and its internet site (soybean.com, 1995), which currently manufacturers the best-selling vegetarian "meat" snack on the North American continent, Stonewall's Jerquee. My family successfully ran the company from its inception until its sale in March, 2007. I invented a food-grade preservative in 2003 and built a manufacturing plant in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to produce and commercialize the discovery. This facility currently operates as Global Preservatives, Inc. (globalpreservatives.com), the assignee of my primary U.S. Patent Application No. 10782405) representing this area of my work (see also). In 1995 I created Alpha Omega Labs (herbhealers.com / altcancer.com), which became a provider of over 300 alternative health products with 14 distributors around the world, before its closure by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration in September, 2003.
It successfully reopened in Ecuador in June, 2008.
Alpha Omega Labs is best known for Cansema® -- an effective cure for skin cancer, based on suppressed formulary information dating back to the 1850's. The spat over U.S. spying on Germany grew over the weekend following reports the National Security Agency has monitored the phone calls of Chancellor Angela Merkel since as early as 2002, before she even came to office.
The NSA also spied on Merkel's predecessor, Gerhard Schroeder, after he refused to support the Iraq war. NSA staffers working out of the U.S. embassy in Berlin reportedly sent their findings directly to the White House. The German tabloid Bild also reports President Obama was made aware of Merkel's phone tap in 2010, contradicting his apparent claim to her last week that he would have stopped the spying had he known.
In another new disclosure, the Spanish newspaper El Mundo reports today the NSA tracked some 60 million calls in Spain over the course of a month last year. A delegation of German and French lawmakers are now in Washington to press for answers on the allegations of U.S. spying in their home countries. October 25, 2013–James Swagger was first introduced to topical science writing for a historical mysteries magazine in Ireland. He was trained as a Systems Analyst in the energy industry. He holds a Master degree in Engineering, Bachelors in Physics with Astronomy, and a Masters in Science, Research and Society. Initially, Swagger sought out the megalithic monuments of Western Europe in his spare time travelling around the UK, Ireland, and Denmark.
His embrace of a multidisciplinary approach to the research of megalithic sites, and the larger view of 'passage grave cosmology' produced his first book, "The Newgrange Sirius Mystery: Linking Passage Grave Cosmology with Dogon Symbology."
