Description:
Charles Upton's first books of poetry were published in 1968 and 1969 by Lawrence Ferlinghetti of City Light Books in San Francisco. He was then considered the youngest member of the "beat generation" as he was still in high school.

He has subsequently written many books associated with the traditionalist school of spirituality including What Poets Used to Know, The Science of the Greater Jihad, Folk Metaphysics, Alien Disclosure Deception: The Metaphysics of Social Engineering, Day and Night on the Sufi Path, Dugin Against Dugin: A Traditionalist Critique of the Fourth Political Theory, System of the Antichrist, and Vectors of the Counter-Initiation. His most recent book of poetry is Wars of Love and Other Poems.

Charles Upton explores the nature of the Jinn—beings described in Islamic and pre-Islamic traditions as intermediaries between humans and the divine. He examines their presence in folklore, poetry, and metaphysical systems, linking them to phenomena such as UFOs, psychic surgery, and spiritual possession. Upton also cautions that fascination with these unseen entities may divert seekers from the direct contemplation of the divine.

Source: redicecreations.com

September 6, 2012–Charles Upton is a poet, author, and activist who has published numerous books on Sufism, Metaphysics, and other topics. After graduating from a Catholic High School, Upton involved himself in a number of antiwar demonstrations, and became acquainted with many influential figures of the Beat Generation, including Gary Snyder and Allen Ginsberg.

Throughout the early 80’s, Upton became involved in the New Age movement for several years before being introduced to the study of traditional metaphysics. His increasing interest in traditional studies culminated in his initiation into a Sufi order near the end of the decade. In the first hour, Charles will talk about false and subversive spiritualities. He classifies the worst of these spiritualities as examples of the Counter-Initiation of the true esoteric way. ~Red Ice Creations
