Since December of 2017, two videos that surfaced of alleged Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) sightings captivated the world. Months later, a third was released that only increased public interest into the topic, but also strengthened their voice for transparency about the mysterious phenomena.
Even though the military said they were not cleared for public dissemination and considered leaked, the Navy later would officially release copies of the same in April of 2020 to satisfy public curiosity and calls for transparency. But, how many other videos were there?
At that moment, The Black Vault aimed to find out just that.
So, in April of 2020, The Black Vault began a pursuit to have the U.S. Navy release ALL of their videos that held a UAP designation. And after nearly two and a half years, the untold number of videos with that UAP designation have been fully denied due to national security concerns.
For the past two years, The Black Vault has chased an internal Navy document which referenced an Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) briefing of some kind, but there were little details to go on. However, after multiple FOIA requests, and after fighting an initial false “no records” denial to get it, the record has finally been released.
The document revealed a previously unknown briefing for staff members of the Senate Armed Services Committee by an F/A-18 pilot who encountered a UFO while operating in the airspace off the U.S. east coast. That briefing, along with the specific encounter itself, both appear to have never been revealed to the general public before.
There are all sorts of things to talk about, and I am sure some of you may be most interested in some of the TV series appearing in the past couple weeks, such as the JJ Abrams Showtime docu-series; the Tucker Carlson documentary on Fox Nation; and much more. -theblackvault.com
Last Friday, July 16, 2021, The Black Vault published two stories which resulted in quite a lot of controversy and questions.
First, the more controversial of the two, was the story that the CLASSIFIED version of the UAP report submitted to Congress, was only 17 pages. This clearly contradicts numerous estimates given by people over the past few weeks, so naturally, this cause a bit of an uproar.
Although The Black Vault doesn't endorse this newest revelation, it does require evidence to negate it. Up until now, no one has produced a verifiable source or official anything that can discount the 17-page revelation. This live stream will go over the story, and take your questions!
The other story published later that day, is related to the Luis Elizondo e-mail debacle, in which it was discovered by The Black Vault that all of Elizondo's e-mails (along with chat transcripts, attachments, calendars etc.) have been destroyed, likely YEARS prior to when they were supposed to.
This second story issued an update, which brought along with it an entirely new, and arguably much bigger, revelation about records retention and DoD record keeping.
These are just some PRELIMINARY thoughts about the UFO/UAP report released TODAY by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
A more structured outline/presentation may be set for next week, but for now, I thought it would kind of be fun to go over it together, fresh after it was released. Comment below if you want even more of a deep dive into this.
180 days - if you're anything like me, you've been waiting for THIS DAY for at least... 180 days.
Now, it's here. And was it all worth the wait?
What's up everyone, John Greenewald, Jr. here, founder and creator of The Black Vault.
That's right, the UFO or UAP or whatever you want to call them report is here. And, I'll go over just some key points about it.
Because that report, all whopping 9 pages of it, is the subject of this quick blast.
Just days ago, The Black Vault released a story that confirmed the e-mails of Luis Elizondo… have all been destroyed by the Department of Defense. This paper trail that is now gone for good would likely not only consist of e-mails, but all attachments, scheduled tasks, calendars, chat transcripts and other communications that spanned nearly a decade.
After months of seeking the proper authorization for the DoD to do this; there was nothing found. When asked, the Pentagon couldn’t cite authorization either, even after two months of asking. In fact, documented protocol proves that this material should likely have been saved until at least October 4, 2024, if not, possibly even being mandated to be saved indefinitely.
With this crucial evidence seemingly destroyed, stepping into the Vault today, is Luis Elizondo himself. Now hear from him on what truly was lost; how he feels about it; and what the next steps may be.
Since December of 2017, the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, or AATIP, has long been touted as a “Secret Pentagon UFO Study” which lasted from 2008 – 2012. However, that has not always been the case to the Pentagon.
In a series of conflicting and confusing statements since 2017, the official position of the Department of Defense (DoD) has gone from confirming it was a UFO program, to saying no it was not, to now saying it still was not a UFO program, but it did utilize UFO (or Unidentified Aerial Phenomena / UAP) reports during its research stages. A NEW video has been published by Jeremy Corbell. Credit to him and allowed me to share it here, with some thoughts.
Here is some background and some additional questions I hope we can get answers to.
2019 the US Navy filmed “SPHERICAL” shaped UFOs going into the water; here is that footage
The US Navy photographed and filmed “spherical” shaped UFOs and advanced transmedium vehicles; here is some of that footage.
This footage was filmed in the CIC (Combat Information Center) of the USS Omaha on July 15th 2019 in a warning area off San Diego. This footage depicts a UAP event series that reached a crescendo with one of the unknown targets entering the water. No wreckage found. None of the unknown craft were recovered.
LOCATION OF SHIP
32°29'21.9”N 119°21'53.0”W
TIME OF EVENT (SUBMERSION)
11pm PST (6am GMT - indicated a day ahead on display)
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
• Minimum 14 targets.
• Minimum 6ft in diameter - solid mass.
• Varying speeds from 40 kts - 138 kts (46 mph - 158 mph).
• Flight lasting longer than an hour.
• Unknowns were illuminated.
• Unable to discern origin, nor launch or landing points.
• Unknown vehicles picked up on more than two types of RADAR.
• Still images of this footage were included in the May 1st, 2020 UAPTF intelligence briefing that I have previously reported on.
• It is noted in intelligence reports that the “spherical” craft appeared to be transmedium capable, and were observed descending into the water without destruction.
• It is noted in intelligence reports that the “spherical” craft could not be found upon entry to the water - that a submarine was used in the search - and recovered nothing.
• This footage is unclassified.
• Craft remain officially - unidentified.
We do not know what, if anything, the Navy or Pentagon might be willing to say about the USS Omaha incident, but we are confident the incident is a legitimate mystery and look forward to whatever information might be forthcoming.
Two weeks ago, investigative journalist George Knapp and documentary filmmaker Jeremy Corbell published multiple "leaked" photographs of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs), along with a night-vision video which showed triangle-shaped (reported as "pyramid" shaped) objects in the sky.
The story was that these visuals were collected by the "UAP Task Force," which investigates encounters with unknown objects.
Just days later, The Black Vault originally broke the story that the Pentagon authenticated all the photographs and visuals from those two stories, and confirmed they were taken by Navy personnel.
However, part of that confirmation seems to have been either walked back by the Pentagon, or at the very least, is the capstone of much unneeded confusion on the part of the Department of Defense (DOD).
This confusion stems from unclear statements that were never clarified or corrected, despite numerous opportunities to do so. The Black Vault has decided to publish all communications, since all are public record and subject to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). -theblackvault.com
Today, I recorded an interview with Tony Bragalia. You’ll remember him from not too long ago, making the claims about how the Pentagon admitted to having UFO debris, and the fact they released the test results through FOIA.
Well, viewers of this channel will know, I didn’t think his interpretation was accurate at all and I felt it was more sensationalism, so I explained that in a video post weeks ago.
That didn’t go over too well with Tony. So, after he continued to release information, but I felt it was not accurate, I invited him on this show.
I have respect for anyone who will step into The Vault, even if we don’t agree, so we did the interview.
And as you can probably expect… at times it got a bit heated. Stay tuned… you’re about to journey INSIDE THE BLACK VAULT. -theblackvault.com
On April 6, 2021, new "UFO/UAP Photographs" leaked out, as reported by George Knapp and MysteryWire.com! Sounds fun and exciting, but is it?
This video is a breakdown of what happened, along with a thought experiment on why stories like this, can be more problematic than helpful.
It may not resonate with everyone, but bloggers/journalists and whomever have the ultimate power that with the simple omission of the whole story, and the fluffing of actual facts, their reporting will take a life of its own. As a result, creating a story that is not necessarily true or accurate.
Should we have absolute trust in ANY blogger/journalist/website? No. Questioning is healthy, and ensures we the people are getting the full and true story whether it be questioning the mainstream media, the military, or the government. Not doing so, ensures the public stays partially in the dark, and with that, potentially creates a false narrative that can do more damage in the future.
Sources used in articles can and should be protected if they need to be. But VERIFIABLE EVIDENCE should be there to back it all up.
What's that all mean? Check out the thought experiment in this video, and comment below. -theblackvault.com
Beginning in December of 2017, rumors of a "Secret Pentagon UFO Study" was reported by the mainstream media. The result was an avalanche of UFO stories throughout the next couple of years; each one increasing the hope that Disclosure of some sort of alien existence, was about to become reality.
As a result, Congress wanted answers.
Now? They will get them from the intelligence community in mid 2021. But will it all be public knowledge, or just something for our elected leaders behind closed doors?
And what, if anything, will be revealed?
It may just be that the 1960s foreshadowed what might expect. But, is that a good thing? Stay tuned -- you're about to journey inside The Black Vault.
He was the Director of National Intelligence - the government official that overlooks the entire United States Intelligence Community.
There is no doubt that America sure has its secrets; and whomever fills that spot, likely knows them all.
John Ratcliffe, who served as the director from May of 2020 to the end of President Donald Trump's term in office in January of 2021, just laid some bombshell claims about UFOs in a recent interview with FoxNews.
Here's what he said and what it might mean. Stay tuned... you're about to journey Beyond The Black Vault. -theblackvault.com
So frustrating to have to do a video like this, but as traction grows today on various social media platforms about a story that just surfaced rooted with a FOIA request response - I felt a video was in order.
Wild sensationalized headlines and misinterpreted FOIA results has all landed a new UFO story that is, well, just not accurate. Although at the recording of this, mainstream media coverage has not commenced, the blog in question has found itself posted throughout multiple social networks such as Reddit, Facebook, and Twitter; all resulting in many questions.
This is addressing the rumor, while adding a few more tidbits about AAWSAP that you may not be aware of. -theblackvault.com
A "Quick Blast" coming your way, on a strange (but coincidental?) connection between the chairman of the CIA's Robertson Panel and the alleged (and likely hoaxed) MJ-12 Group.
Nearly a quarter of a century ago, The Black Vault was born.
I was fifteen years old when I started what you’re seeing now, and it was at that same age back in 1996, that the CIA quickly found out the name John Greenewald.
I tried to gain access to documents on UFOs that the CIA had already released to the public at the time, but the CIA pushed back on my efforts by charging me money to get them. And that was money I just didn’t have as a teenager.
So, I switched gears. I targeted the information the CIA had never released before. It was more recent, and quite possibly more interesting. But I had no idea what else they would have in store for me.
In an in-depth and convoluted tale that stretch over the course of years, The Black Vault would finally pry loose thousands of UFO related documents that at the time, had never seen the light of day before.
And recently, a data CD-ROM also obtained from the CIA by The Black Vault which compiled most of these records, was put online in effort to make the most simplistic and straight forward way to download them all at once for public consumption.
And the internet… went wild.
It took only a few days for The Black Vault’s servers to be hit more than 101,000,000 times by nearly 1.7 million people. A record hit of traffic ever logged in 25 years of operation.
What is in these records? Why is the public so fascinated? And WHAT did the media get wrong?
Stay tuned – you’re about to journey INSIDE THE BLACK VAULT.
Dr. Hal Puthoff, theoretical physicist and government contractor, made waves in 2018 when he referenced a "leaked" document detailing UFO crash retrievals.
Now, it is believed the document is known. But if this is the document Dr. Puthoff referenced... is it even real?
You decide as I dig in to the four page record. -theblackvault.com
The subject of UFOs have dominated the headlines these past few years. As a result, The Navy has officially released three videos that depict what they say, are UFOs, and now the mainstream media seems to take the topic seriously.
Yet, the United States Air Force, the military branch with the highest level of air dominance and presence, is mysteriously quiet about the issue of UFOs, or what the Navy now refers to them as Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, or UAPs.
Why? The Navy has drafted new guidelines, captured video, and has openly admitted that the entire situation is a concern.
Despite all of that, the Air Force continues to deny any interest, and new Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) responses just came in to The Black Vault that only add more confusion to the mix.
