"The Bibi Files" is a new investigative documentary (produced by Oscar-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney and directed by Alexis Bloom) that Tucker Carlson's network (TCN) released and is heavily promoting as of about two days ago (March 26–27, 2026).
It’s an exposé on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (widely nicknamed “Bibi”), focusing on his long-running corruption scandals, alleged backroom deals, and how he has allegedly used conflict to stay in power.What the documentary coversLeaked police interrogation footage: The core of the film is over 1,000 hours of previously unseen video from Israeli police interrogations of Netanyahu, his wife Sara, his son Yair, and close associates. These come from major corruption cases (Cases 1000, 2000, and 4000) in which he faces charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust. Netanyahu has fought in court to keep this footage secret.
Corruption and donors: It examines gifts, media influence (e.g., ties to the Adelson family and their newspaper Israel Hayom), and other alleged improper dealings.
Relationship with Hamas and Qatar: A major claim is that Netanyahu knowingly allowed Qatar to send tens of millions of dollars per month (sometimes in suitcases of cash) to Hamas in Gaza for years. The film argues this was a deliberate strategy to keep Hamas strong enough to divide the Palestinians and block a two-state solution, while weakening moderate Palestinian leadership. Insiders and leaked material allegedly show Netanyahu publicly denying this while privately enabling it.
Wars as a political shield: The documentary contends that Netanyahu has escalated or prolonged conflicts (with Hamas, Hezbollah, Iran, etc.) partly to distract from his legal troubles and remain in office, as ongoing war rallies domestic support and delays trials.
Why it’s controversial right nowIt is banned in Israel (officially due to privacy laws around the interrogation videos), and Netanyahu’s government reportedly pressured platforms and distributors worldwide to suppress it.
Tucker is releasing/promoting it on his platform (watchable at tuckercarlson.com) amid the current Middle East wars and U.S. involvement, framing it as essential context for understanding the man driving much of the regional policy.
In short, it’s Tucker Carlson presenting a highly critical, documentary-style takedown of Netanyahu using raw Israeli police material that was never meant for public release. The film itself actually originated in 2024 (pre-October 7 in its early stages), but Tucker’s network has just made it widely available and is pushing it hard right now.
