August 10, 2011–Dr. Roger Leir reported on results from this 16th alien implant removal surgery. The removed object, which was around 6mm in length, put out a strong magnetic field, and also had radio waves coming out of it. Further, the center of the object was so hard, they couldn't cut through it with any lab instruments. Leir also shared the calculations of physicist Dr. Bob Koontz, who suggested that aliens visiting us might be from 300,000 light years away.

August 8, 2011–Lecturer on new technologies, health and earth science related issues, Dr. Nick Begich gave updates on Project HAARP and its implications for controlling weather and populations, as well as how we can develop a strong influence for personal and global change through technology and our own internal power. HAARP is an array of antennas, and by firing radio frequencies through them, a number of effects can be created such as altering the ionosphere (which begins about 30 mile above the Earth), he explained. These instruments can create a heating effect and as a consequence might be used for changing jet streams or manipulating the weather, he noted.
He cited one positive aspect of HAARP-- it can be used for earth-penetrating tomography, imaging under the earth's surface and being able to isolate every oil and gas field, for example. Yet, HAARP has also been associated with mind effects and the impact of radio frequency energy on the human body. A modulated external signal couples with the brain, and can change a person's chemical and emotional state, he detailed. Begich also touched on the history of mind control, such as the early work of the CIA's MK-ULTRA, which used unwitting subjects.
There's a lot of interest in the effects of various kinds of energy exchanges in fields as diverse as the military and the healing arts, such as using sound and light for tissue regeneration, he noted. Begich also addressed how his home state of Alaska has a huge base of natural resources, such as oil, which could be used as a source to help bail America out of its economic woes.

Author and philosopher Matthew Alper shared his contention that human beings are genetically hard wired to experience belief in spirituality and various paranormal phenomena, even though there is no scientific basis for it. According to sociobiology, there are regions in the human brain that generate these belief systems, and Alper concluded that the brain evolved this way as a coping mechanism to deal with the knowledge of our inevitable deaths. "I believe that the anxiety [about death] was so overwhelming that it forced the selection of this cognitive modification which...compels us to believe that there's this other transcendental force...through which, even though we know the physical body will die, we now believe this spiritual component will live on forever," he said.
Alper reported on studies of meditation and prayer, which show decreased blood flow in the amygdala region of the brain-- this helps to reduce anxiety and fear, which could account for the sense of spirituality. Similarly, he noted that the parietal lobe also gets a decreased blood flow, which can affect spatial and temporal consciousness. Many people who are "hyper religious" have epilepsy, he added.

Tsoukalos, joined George Knapp to ponder the idea that extraterrestrials have been visiting us since the dawn of man and how they continue to visit us. The new season of Ancient Aliens just kicked off with an episode tied in with the movie Cowboys & Aliens. Native American lore refers to such things as ant people, and flying shields-- this might have been how they would describe aliens and their craft without having a technological frame of reference, he explained. The Kachinas were said to descend from the sky and give knowledge to Native American ancestors, and some carvings they made of them look like modern day astronauts, with helmets, antennae, and tubes, he continued.
Tsoukalos talked about a newspaper report of a UFO incident that took place in 1865 in Montana. A trapper saw a fiery object crash, and tracked it down. He found what looked like a great big rock that had chambers with hieroglyphs in it. Some Native Americans described Thunderbirds as having skins like metal, impenetrable to arrows-- rather than birds, these might have been alien craft. He believes that in cases where ancient people referred to gods, they were actually talking about ET visitors who would seem like gods, because they didn't understand their technology.
Written in the Egyptian text, al-khitat, "the pyramids were built by the Egyptians with the assistance of the guardians in the sky, or the watchers from heaven," Tsoukalos detailed. He estimated that the pyramids at Giza were erected 12,500 years ago, during a "golden age," when the structures lined up with what was then the position of Orion's belt in the sky. He also spoke about the Nazca lines in Peru, which he suggested may have originally been part of an ET mining operation that left tracks, and the locals expanded on the lines in order to get the "gods" to come back.

Former professor at the University of Calgary, Carmen Boulter, discussed the pyramids in Egypt, and other mysteries of their ancient culture. The Great Pyramid served as an energy generator, based on the materials it was constructed out of, and its location on intersecting ley lines, she said. The ancient Egyptians may have had energy devices that used telluric or Earth currents, she theorized. "They feed the deficient white sugar to human beings while the farm animals get the nutrition that's missing," he lamented.

To that end, he revealed that while food companies appear to have stopped using MSG, they've merely switched to a "new, hidden form" of the chemical called yeast extract. The additive is so prevalent, he said, that it can be found in "literally thousands of different products that are sold today." Ultimately, Adams encouraged people to shop locally from farmer's markets and food co-ops in order to get the most natural goods. Richard C. Hoagland discussed what he views as coming "game changer" events. NASA, he said, was for once, telling the truth about data they've been receiving from a space exploration-- in this case, sharing revealing photos of the Vesta asteroid, sent back by the Dawn spacecraft. Hoagland suggested that the Vesta photos show evidence of geometric shapes that indicate ruins. The asteroid may in fact be a huge space station built by a Type 2 civilization, he announced.
