Cyclone Phailin Batters India's East Coast Nearly 12 million people are in the path of the cyclone which is expected to be the fiercest storm to hit India in 14 years. A powerful cyclone has torn into India's east coast, killing at least five people and forcing more than half a million into shelters.
Cyclone Phailin was expected to remain a "very severe cyclonic storm", with winds up to 130mph, into the early hours of Sunday as it moves inland in the states of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
Up to 12 million people could be affected by heavy rain and strong winds, according to disaster management officials.

Cyclone Phailin Batters India's East Coast Nearly 12 million people are in the path of the cyclone which is expected to be the fiercest storm to hit India in 14 years. A powerful cyclone has torn into India's east coast, killing at least five people and forcing more than half a million into shelters.
Cyclone Phailin was expected to remain a "very severe cyclonic storm", with winds up to 130mph, into the early hours of Sunday as it moves inland in the states of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
Up to 12 million people could be affected by heavy rain and strong winds, according to disaster management officials.

He was charged with design and orchestration of some of the government's most significant national and international Deep Cover and conspiracy investigations. Chronic electrical surges at the massive new data-storage facility central to the National Security Agency's spying operation have destroyed hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of machinery and delayed the center's opening for a year, according to project documents and current and former officials.
There have been 10 meltdowns in the past 13 months that have prevented the NSA from using computers at its new Utah data-storage center, slated to be the spy agency's largest, according to project documents reviewed by The Wall Street Journal.
One project official described the electrical troubles—so-called arc fault failures—as "a flash of lightning inside a 2-foot box." These failures create fiery explosions, melt metal and cause circuits to fail, the official said.
The causes remain under investigation, and there is disagreement whether proposed fixes will work, according to officials and project documents. One Utah project official said the NSA planned this week to turn on some of its computers there.
NSA spokeswoman Vanee Vines acknowledged problems but said "the failures that occurred during testing have been mitigated. A project of this magnitude requires stringent management, oversight, and testing before the government accepts any building." Read more at: The Wall Street Journal

One project official described the electrical troubles—so-called arc fault failures—as "a flash of lightning inside a 2-foot box." These failures create fiery explosions, melt metal and cause circuits to fail, the official said.
The causes remain under investigation, and there is disagreement whether proposed fixes will work, according to officials and project documents. One Utah project official said the NSA planned this week to turn on some of its computers there.
NSA spokeswoman Vanee Vines acknowledged problems but said "the failures that occurred during testing have been mitigated. A project of this magnitude requires stringent management, oversight, and testing before the government accepts any building." Read more at: The Wall Street Journal

In August, Lavabit became the first technology firm to shut down rather than disclose information to the U.S. government. Lavabit owner Ladar Levison closed his encrypted email company after refusing to comply with a government effort to tap his customers' information. It is now been confirmed the FBI was targeting National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden, who used Lavabit's services. But Levison says that instead of just targeting Snowden, the government effectively wanted access to the accounts of 400,000 other Lavabit customers.
Levison now says that since first going public, he has been summoned before a grand jury, fined $10,000 for handing over encryption keys on paper instead of digitally, and threatened with arrest for speaking out. The Justice Department began targeting Labavit the day after Snowden revealed himself as the source of the NSA leaks. Rodney Ascher is the director/editor of the film ROOM 237, a documentary exploring the signs, symbols, meanings, and metaphors five very different people have discovered within Stanley Kubrick's The Shining. Also joining in is Andras Jones an actor, musician and the author of Accidental Initiations: In The Kabbalistic Tree of Olympia. He is best known for his role in Nightmare on Elm Street 4.
We'll discuss possible sub-textual messages in The Shining. What was Stanley Kubrick really telling us? What was he really involved in? We talk about how Kubrick played on the ignorance of the viewer, leaving visual information, clues in the corner but people often missed them. Are the synchronicities, symbols and messages found in Kubrick's film intentional or was a higher force working through him? Then, we'll discuss the work of Will Morgan who compiled footage pointing out the synchronicities in the movies Andras Jones appeared in. Andras elaborates on how these syncs paralleled with his life off camera, just as others have pointed out this same phenomena with many other actors.
