Record weather whiplash, record heat, record flooding, record species die-off, record low polar ice, record high military budgets, record quantities of bomb manufacturing, record ammunition purchases by "Homeland Security", and even now the epidemic of public denial and apathy continues with converging catastrophes closing in from every direction.
Is there any chance of waking the masses in time to make a difference? Many have managed to convince themselves that the current industrialized militarized society will somehow magically continue into the future, such a notion is not grounded in reality. The window of time to potentially make a difference is rapidly running out. If the human race is to have any chance of changing course, the masses must be awakened to all that is unfolding. All of those who are already aware are needed to help sound the alarm. -Dane Wigington

In a special twist on behalf of Merritt, Former Watergate Lawyer Douglas Caddy has sent a letter to the National Archives with the promise of directions to President Nixon's ET Time Capsule that Merritt is convinced is still where Nixon placed it in 1972.
The conditions laid out in the letter instruct the National Archives they can take possession of the letter when it's found as long as they read it aloud when it's discovered and distribute openly it to the public.

To most people paying attention to the collision between industrial society and the hard limits of a finite planet, it’s clear that things are going very, very wrong. We no longer have unlimited time and resources to deal with the economic and environmental crises that define our future, and the options are limited to the tools we have on hand right now. The Retro Future is about one very powerful idea: deliberate technological regression.
Technological regression isn’t about ‘going back’ – it’s about using the past as a resource to meet the needs of the present, and maybe the future too. It starts from the recognition that older technologies generally use fewer resources and cost less than modern equivalents, and it embraces the heresy of technological choice – our ability to choose or refuse the technologies pushed by corporate interests.
People are already ditching smartphones and going back to so-called ‘dumb phones’ and land lines, and e-book sales are declining while printed books rebound. Clear signs among many that blind faith in progress is faltering and opening up the possibility that the best way forward may well involve looking back. -legalise-freedom.com
